Goal-fit over premium

The best Wheel trade doesn't exist in isolation. It depends on your goal.

Premium alone can't tell you whether a trade is good. The same cash-secured put is a confident GO for one profile and a clear SKIP for another. Flip the profile — watch the verdict, and the reasons, change.

The Wheel · three income streams

One position. Three ways it pays you.

The Wheel isn't a single bet — it's a cycle that collects premium on the way in, appreciation in the middle, and premium again on the way out.

01
CSP premium
Collected while waiting

Sell a cash-secured put on stock you'd be glad to own. Keep the premium whether or not you're assigned.

02
Stock appreciation
Earned while holding

If assigned, your economic adjusted basis is already lowered by every premium collected. Upside accrues from there.

03
Covered-call premium
Collected while holding

Sell calls against the shares — more premium, basis stepping lower, until they're called away and the wheel turns again.

The verdict, explained

Every score leads with the verdict, then shows its work.

No black box, no single number to trust on faith. Each verdict names the reasons that produced it — in the order they mattered.

The basis bridge

Premiums step your basis down — campaign-wide.

Every premium collected lowers your economic adjusted basis — the real, after-premium number. Not tax basis; the figure WheelTracker tracks across the whole campaign.

Assigned at $185, three premiums later your basis reads $179.95 — and break-even moved with it.

Explainable, never black-box

The rules decide. The words only explain.

Rule engine
The score is deterministic

Your profile's rules — buy-zone, delta band, IVR floor, earnings policy — score every contract. Same inputs, same verdict, every time.

Language layer
The AI only explains

It never decides. It turns the engine's reasons into plain language you can audit — so every verdict shows its work, and nothing is taken on faith.

Common questions

Everything a first-timer wants to know.

No account required to read on. Here's what it costs, what it does with your trades, and what the shorthand means.

  • New to the Wheel — what is it?

A patient options routine on stock you'd be glad to own. You sell a cash-secured put and collect premium; if the shares are assigned to you, you sell covered calls against them for more premium, until they're called away and the cycle starts again. WheelTracker scores each of those trades for you.

  • Is it free?

Yes — free to start. Sign up with an email, confirm it, and you're in. No credit card, no trial countdown.

  • Does WheelTracker place trades for me?

Never. It only supports your decisions — it scores and explains trades and shows their reasons. It cannot place, modify or cancel any order. You always act in your own broker.

  • Do I need to connect my broker?

No. You can explore and score trades without connecting anything. If you use Interactive Brokers, you can optionally link a read-only Flex connection so your real trade history flows in for richer tracking — it's read-only and never has trading access.

  • Who is it for?

Solo options traders running the Wheel on a handful of US tickers, who want every put, roll and call graded against their own goal instead of chasing the fattest premium.

  • What do the shorthand terms mean?

The scoring uses a few standard options terms. Here's the plain-language version:

    Cash-secured put (CSP)
Selling a put while holding the cash to buy the shares if you're assigned.
    Covered call (CC)
Selling a call against shares you already own, for extra premium.
    Premium
The income you collect for selling the option.
    Delta
Roughly the odds the option finishes in-the-money — a proxy for assignment risk.
    IVR
Implied-volatility rank — how rich the premium is versus this stock's own recent range.
    DTE
Days to expiry — how long until the option settles.
    Adjusted basis
Your effective per-share cost after every premium collected — the real break-even WheelTracker tracks.
Getting started

Three steps to your first verdict.

No setup marathon, no broker to connect. Create an account, tell WheelTracker what you're after, and it starts scoring — in plain language, from the first trade.

  1. Tell it your goal

Steady income, or shares you'd be glad to own? Pick the profile that matches what you want from the Wheel.

  2. It scores your trades

Every cash-secured put, roll and covered call is graded against that goal — no guessing, no chasing premium.

  3. You get a clear verdict

GO, WAIT or SKIP — in plain words that show their reasons. You stay in control and place any trade yourself.

Decision support based on rules you configure. Not financial advice — and it never places, modifies or cancels trades.
